The Department of Media Entertainment pursues integrated education befitting the digitized content and Internet-based platform environment alongside the rapid growth of media industries. Functioning as the cradle of art education, the department leads creative education in art-related industries and nurtures integrated all-in-one entertainers and creators who are to become the pillar of content creation in the new art and media world.

Media Entertainer Major

The Media Entertainer Major nurtures would-be actors and performers who will present creative performance skills in the next-generation media environment. Students majoring in Media Entertainer learn the basic acting skills required in stage arts like theater and musicals. Equipped with performance-centered systems that can help students cultivate acting competency for various media contents, the department produces future-oriented talents as multi-entertainers fully integrated with active skills to embrace the stage and multiple media, sing, and dance. After graduation, students majoring in Media Entertainer can pursue entertainment as actors (for dramas, movies, musicals, and theaters), broadcasting personalities, all-around entertainers utilizing entertainment and MCN firms and media and Internet platforms, as well as creative professionals behind the scenes as producers, directors, choreographers, and music directors, thereby leading the new K-wave and contributing to the global development of the media entertainment industry.

Media Creator Major

The Media Creator Major nurtures would-be multi-creators who will lead new trends in the new media entertainment industry. Students majoring in Media Creator can understand the overall media entertainment business and the entire creation process—from planning to production to distribution —through the onsite-focused education system in active pursuit of task execution skills. After graduation, Media Creator majors can pursue careers in the media entertainment business and content-related creator activities as creators, producers, editors, managers, business operators, marketers, and more, thereby contributing to the development of new media content and generating new added value befitting the digital age.
