The Kyung Hee University Graduate School of Art Fusion is a special graduate school where classes are held from 18:30 to 21:20 on Mondays and Wednesdays.

2. Qualifications
Korean Nationals
  1. Academic Degrees

    • Students who obtained a Bachelor’s degree from a university in Korea and abroad or students eligible to graduate before the entrance.

    • Students who obtained an equivalent degree recognized by the Ministry of Education

      New students can apply for any major subject regardless of previous studies or degrees.

Foreigners
  1. Academic Degrees

    1. Students who obtained a Bachelor’s degree from a university in Korea and abroad or students eligible to graduate before the entrance.

      Foreign nationals who obtained a Bachelor’s degree from a Korean university are required to submit a photocopy of the degree and proof of residence in Korea from the Immigration Office.

    2. Students who obtained an equivalent degree recognized by the Ministry of Education

      New students can apply for any major subject regardless of previous studies or degrees.

  2. Nationality

    The applicant and his/her parents are foreign nationals.

  3. Language Competency

    Applicants must satisfy one of items below.

    1. Foreigners who obtained TOPIK Grade 3 in Korean Language Competency.

    2. Foreigners who graduated from an overseas university majoring in Korean language.

    3. Foreigners who studied in a Korean university or graduate school for longer than two years.

  4. VISA Information

    • Foreign exchange students applying for the Graduate School of Art Fusion must have a D-2-3 VISA in accordance with the Ministry of Justice management policy on foreigners’ stay in Korea. If the student’s VISA is not issued due to the ministry’s policy, the entrance may be canceled, and Kyung Hee University or the Graduate School of Art Fusion is not held responsible for the cancellation.

    • Be sure to abide by the Ministry of Justice management policy on foreigners’ stay in Korea in order to prevent any losses or inconveniences. For important issues concerning VISA applications and updates and visits to the Immigration Office during the new student application period and enrollment, contact the administrative office in advance.

3. Application Procedure
Application
  • Application Period: Visit the Graduate School of Art Fusion’s homepage in Korean and refer to the bulletin board on the new student application.
    Applicants can apply in person during business hours on weekdays. The administrative office is closed during weekends and public holidays.

  • Application Forms: Download the form on the Graduate School of Art Fusion’s homepage (http://afd.khu.ac.kr) or pick up the form at the administrative office.

  • How to apply and submit attached documents: Visit the administrative office in person or send by mail

    In the case of mail, the application must be sent by registered mail, and it must arrive on or before the deadline.
    - All applicants must confirm receipt of the application by calling the administrative office and pay the application fee afterward.
    - The portfolio, an optional item, must be limited to 2 printed sheets in A4 size. (USB cannot be included in the application.)

    The date of issuance of submitted documents is valid when issued up to 30 days prior to the starting date of the application period.

    In the case of foreign applicants, the screening information is provided by personal mail written in the application.

  • Interview Method: Face-to-face or non-face-to-face

    Applicants abroad can utilize Zoom for contactless interview.

  • Applicants who come for an interview must bring an ID card (resident card, passport, or alien registration card).

Announcement on Successful Applicants: Refer to the bulletin board on new student applications on the Graduate School of Art Fusion’s homepage in Korean.
  • Successful applicants also receive the good news by personal mail along with the homepage link for viewing.

Registration Date: Refer to the bulletin board on new student applications on the Graduate School of Art Fusion’s homepage in Korean.
  • Main registration: Payment of admission fee and semester registration fee

  • Registration method: Send the fees using the virtual account created by KEB Hana Bank in Korea.

  • Print out the bill: Applicants can print out the bill from the announcement site.

    If you fail to complete the registration during the registration period, your acceptance will be canceled.

4. Application Procedure

5. Document Submission
Korean Nationals

Korean nationals must submit the original application form provided by the school. The administrative office only accepts original certificates issued 30 days before the starting date of the application period.
※ In the case of licenses, photocopies are accepted; if they are proven false, however, the enrollment may be canceled.

  5. 1 Copy of the diploma of the final academic degree or proof of candidate for graduation, including the academic degree number

  6. 1 University academic transcript including percentage-based GPA

    The transcript must include the academic performance of all class standings. Academic performance without percentage points will be calculated in accordance with the Kyung Hee University rules.

  7. Optional item: 1 Proof of working experience or employment or 1 photocopy of licenses

    If certificates proving working experience or employment are not submitted, the working experience or employment stated in the application form will not be accepted. The application form must include accurate dates of working experience or employment.

    The authenticity of photocopies of all licenses or certificates is confirmed on the day of the interview.

  8. Optional item: 2 Portfolios of creative works

    Portfolios can be submitted on the day of the interview. Prepare 2 portfolios for submission.

Attach 3 photographs (3cm×4cm) to the Entrance Management Card, Enrollment Application, and Admission Slip.

Submit all required documents apart from optional documents (certificate of working experience, proof of employment, portfolio, photocopies of certificates/licenses, etc.).

All submitted documents must be original, not photocopied, in principle. Submitted applications and documents will not be returned to the applicant.

Foreigners

    1 Certificate issued by the Korean consulate or notarized translation of the Apostille certificate

    A photocopy of diplomas can be submitted. In the case of proof of graduation in China, the certificate issued by CHSI must be submitted.

    If having obtained a degree higher than Master’s in a Korean university, the applicant must present the original diploma or certificate during an interview at the administrative office.

  6. 1 University academic transcript including percentage-based GPA

    1 Certificate issued by the Korean consulate or notarized translation of the Apostille certificate

    The final GPA or percentage score must be accurately stated in the application form.

    If the academic transcript does not include the GPA or final credits, the applicant must request the official document issued by the school and submit it.

  7. 1 Document stating the applicant’s linguistic competency

  8. 1 Proof of Residence in Korea from the Immigration Office

    Non-Korean students who received academic degrees in Korea must submit a proof of residence in Korea from the Immigration Office for the past 10 years (January 1, 2013 ~ November 30, 2022).

    The non-Korean applicant who received an academic degree in a Korean university but is residing overseas must inquire with the administrative office before issuing certificates or submitting letters of representation.

  9. 1 Photocopy of passport or alien registration number: Check the passport expiration date

    Alien registration is not necessary for applicants who are not in Korea.

  10. 1 Certificate of nationality and family relations of the applicant and his/her parents

    1 Certificate issued by the Korean consulate or notarized translation of the Apostille certificate

    Chinese national applicants must submit photocopies of the applicant and family ID cards, notarized copy of the Chinese Household Registration, and notarized copies of family relations (Only when family members are separated on the registration).

    If the parent is deceased or divorced, submit proof of death or divorce.

  11. 1 Bank statement of the account under the applicant’s name, which must show that the savings account has more than USD 20,000.

    The bank statement is valid only if issued 30 days before the starting date of the application period.

    In the case of foreign nationals with alien registration number and residing in Korea: 1 Bank balance statement issued by a local bank

  12. Optional item: 2 Portfolios of creative works

    Portfolios can be submitted on the day of the interview. Prepare 2 portfolios for submission.

  13. Optional / 1 Proof of working experience, certificate of employment, or photocopies of licenses

    If certificates proving the working experience or employment are not submitted, the working experience or employment stated in the application form will not be accepted. The application form must include accurate dates of working experience or employment.

  14. Other documents requested by the dean of the school.

Attach 3 photographs (3cm×4cm) to the Entrance Management Card, Enrollment Application, and Admission Slip.

Submit all required documents apart from optional documents (certificate of working experience, proof of employment, portfolio, photocopies of certificates/licenses, etc.)

If the required document is not in English or Korean, be sure to include notarized Korean or English translations of the document.

When submitting an academic transcript and a diploma from a foreign country, the applicant must include the certification by the overseas educational institution or by the Korean consulate or diplomatic office in the applicant’s home country. In the case of a document from Apostille member countries, the applicant must receive an Apostille certificate from the apostille-related organization and submit it.

Foreign nationals with alien registration numbers and residing in Korea can only submit the certificate of balance issued by a local bank. (The certificate of balance issued by foreign banks is not eligible.)

All submitted documents must be original, not photocopied, in principle. Submitted applications and documents will not be returned to the applicant.

6. Application Fee:

KRW 100,000 (The fee must be deposited in Korean currency)

For Bank Transfer: KEB Hana Bank Account No. / Account Holder’s Name: Kyung Hee University International Campus

  • The application fee can only be accepted via bank transfer AFTER the administrative office confirms receipt of the application via the applicant’s personal visit or mail delivery.
  • Be sure to notify the administrative office if the bank transfer sender’s name is different from the applicant’s name.
  • The application fee cannot be paid by layaways and is non-refundable after the application period.
  • For refund during the application period, the applicant must fill out a refund form. Apply and pay the fee prudently, as the refund may take more than 2 weeks.

If the department does not have the required minimum number of new students, the application may be canceled.

In the case of cancellation of application, the administrative office will contact the applicant individually and refund the fee.
